Burn 1 ton of wood pellet fuel
Replace 120 gallons of heating oil…or 170 gallons of propane…or 16,000 cubic feet of natural gas…or 4,775 kWh of electricity.
Compared with heating oil, it reduces carbon emissions by 1,500 pounds.
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions and harmful pollutants such as carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and mercury.
A high-efficiency pellet stove releases 50 times less particulate matter than non-EPA-certified wood stoves, and 2-5 times less than a new EPA-certified wood stove.
Sustainable development of forestry
Modern forestry practices increase the removal rate of carbon in the atmosphere, which actually enables young trees to grow faster.
Nevertheless, most wood pellets are products made from wood waste or other wood industry waste-not through felling of trees. There is one exception: the pellet industry occasionally uses some dead wood.
Clean burning
Burning wood pellets in a high-efficiency stove is cleaner than organic decomposition in the forest.
This means that wood pellets are considered carbon neutral. In addition, wood pellet stoves, fireplaces and central heating systems must have an efficiency rating of at least 80%-in fact, most equipment has an efficiency of 85-93%.
100% natural
The wood pellets are 100% natural, without binders, chemicals or additives.
Most wood pellets produced in the Australia are made from clean wood chips. Wood naturally contains a substance called lignin, which can make wood pellets compact and uniform in shape.
